Plan S

„Plan S“ is an European initiative for OpenAccess publishing. The plan is supporrted by cOAlition S which is an initiative to make full and immediate OpenAccess Research publications a reality. cOAlition S has to implement the necessary measures to fulfil its main principle: „With effect from 2021, all scholarly publications on the results from research funded by public or private grants provided by national, regional and international research councils and funding bodies, must be published in OpenAccess Journals, on OpenAccess Platforms, or made immediately available through OpenAccess Repositories without embargo.“

What does it mean for us? According to Plan S the research results should be published in compatible OpenAccess journals or open repositories.
